Letter of offer and Getting Started information

If you are accepted into a place at QUT you will receive a letter of offer. In that letter will be your QUT Username and, if you don't already have one, a Password. On the reverse side of the offer letter you will find information on how to accept your offer, enrol and pay any required fees. The Getting Started web site provides more detailed information about what you are required to do.

Orientation

Also included in the brochure is information on Orientation activities for commencing students. Orientation Week is a series of activities and programs designed to familiarise you with QUT. Some orientation sessions are not compulsory, however you are strongly encouraged to attend; it's a great way to kick-start your academic and social life at university.

While international students are welcome to attend many of the University-wide Orientation activities, there is a specific orientation program for international students. Attendance is optional at most seminars and activities, however all international students are required to attend an in-person enrolment session as explained in the International Orientation Program.

real experiences

Tara Gower Orientation Week was a great introduction to uni life. I was able to familiarise myself with the uni surroundings and the free seminars on the online teaching resource really helped. The Oodgeroo Unit is my main daily support, it's a place to relax and unwind between lectures and tutorials.
