Study materials
With the exception of the Education students*, external students will receive the majority of their study materials in written form. Study material is mailed in the weeks prior to the commencement of a teaching period so that first mailings for all units reach students close to the commencement date. The material will generally comprise a unit information booklet, study guide and a book of readings or resources. Audio-tapes, videotapes and computer disks may also be included as study materials for some units. The unit information booklet will provide you with a summary of the materials that should be included in the package for that unit.
If material is not received within one week of the advertised mailing date, is incorrect, or if something is missing, you should contact External Study Support immediately. The staff will also be able to assist you for general enquiries concerning study materials, assignments (extension requests, cover sheets, etc):
- Carolyn Cope - Coordinator
Phone: 07 3138 3235
- Christine Neller - Administrative assistant
Phone: 07 3138 9739
- Teleconferences
- Assignments should be delivered to:
- Mail: External Study Support Coordinator, QUT, Victoria Park Road
Kelvin Grove Q 4059
- In person: Level 2, D Block, Victoria Park Road, Kelvin Grove campus
- Study materials and assignments - contact Carolyn Cope or Christine Neller
- Extensions - contact Carolyn Cope
To avoid delay, students should telephone during the day or leave a message on the voice mail. Please do not contact your faculty in the first instance.
Students who wish to add units to their enrolment program after the end of Week 3 of semester should be aware that they may receive materials much later than other students and may be disadvantaged. Please contact QUT Information Services on 07 3138 2000 for further advice.
*The Education Faculty does not send packages of materials. External Education students study in Internet mode utilising the QUT Blackboard website for materials and discussions.
