To apply for an academic record complete a Request for Academic Records (RR form):

  • submit the completed form by scanning it and emailing it to askqut@qut.edu.au (please ensure file format is PDF, GIF, JPG, PNG or TIF and that file size does not exceed 1Mb); OR
  • post it to Student Business Services (Victoria Park Road, Kelvin Grove, Q 4059).
  • fax it to Student Business Services on 07 3138 1176

An academic record costs, per record:

  • $10.00 for records post 1975
  • $20.00 for records pre 1975
  • plus $1.50 for overseas postage.

Requests will only be processed where payment details have been provided

Payments can be made at the cashier on any campus, by cheque or money order made payable to QUT, or by credit card.

Please note:

  • A complimentary academic record will be posted to you on completion of your course up to four weeks after the official release of results each semester and progressively thereafter on a weekly basis as students complete their course. This academic record will indicate that course requirements are complete. If you require an academic record immediately after release of results or at any other specified time, you must apply as indicated above.
  • Student Business Services will notify the Queensland College of Teachers and the Queensland Education Department when current students complete their education courses.
  • QUT and QTAC do not require a QUT academic record with applications for admission. Records are obtained directly from QUT.

How long will my request take to process?

From receipt of the request by Student Business Services, processing can take up to 10 working days. Requests for faster processing cannot be considered. In the meantime, if you are a current student, you can access your academic history in your student profile on QUT Virtual. However, this is not an official academic record.

Please note:

  • Only prepaid applications will be processed. Applications with incomplete or inaccurate credit card details can not be processed. Applicants will be notified if credit card details are missing.
  • Applications for records that have outstanding sanctions will not be processed until the sanction is cleared and Student Business Services are notified by the applicant that it has been cleared.
  • If collecting your academic record please nominate on your application form, letter, fax or email, the campus from which it is to be collected. Photo identification will be required on collection. If your academic record is to be requested or collected by a person other than yourself a power of attorney or letter of authorisation is required, as is photo identification.
