What and when?The Summer Program is a shortened teaching period usually from late November to the last weeks of February. Summer Program units will be offered in the following teaching periods:
Note: There are other teaching periods like 13TP3, 6TP6, 6TP1, 12TP3, 5TP9 and 5TP1 which have start and end dates between November and February. Search for detailed information about unit availability and study cost information in these teaching periods via unit search. To search, select the calendar option you want, then select a unit code. Why?QUT's Summer Program enables you to complete a unit over the summer break giving you the opportunity to get a head start, accelerate your studies, or catch up. Advantages include:
Who?Summer Program is open to current QUT students, students from other universities and the general public. There are fee implications for students undertaking units in the Summer Program. Please read the information below. Types of units and offeringsIntensive or block mode: not all units on offer will be taught over the 12-week period. Some units could require attendance at lectures and tutorials more than one day per week. Summer Tuition Fee Units: a large number of units offered to undergraduate students have been designated 'fee paying'.
Standard pattern of enrolment: a small number of units are only offered in Summer.
Postgraduate tuition fee paying course: standard tuition fee rates will apply.
International tuition fee: no changes to rates for units undertaken during this teaching period. Restricted enrolments: only QUT students enrolled in specific courses at QUT are allowed enrolment into these units and they will pay the appropriate* student contribution amount.
*The student contribution amount or visiting tuition fee rate charged will be in accordance with those applicable for the year in which the census date falls.
