QUT students studying cross-institutionally at other institutions |
|
Your QUT enrolmentStudents should only enrol once in unit undertaken cross-institutionally. That is, if enrolling at another institution to gain advanced standing at QUT, you should not enrol in the equivalent units within your QUT course; if you do not have any units to study for that teaching period at QUT, you must apply for Leave of Absence on an L Form (except for international students who must have a full-time enrolment at QUT* – see below). * QUT International students who hold a student visa must maintain a full-time load at QUT at all times. International students should also receive written approval from their respective faculty to confirm the advanced standing agreement and your ability to maintain a full-time student program at QUT. Advanced standing (academic credit)After the successful completion the units at the host intuition you will need to have this advanced standing recognised towards your QUT course. To apply for advanced standing you should apply for an official academic transcript from the host intuition which you will include with the completed AC Form (this will be changing to the AS Form on 11 April). If the granting of advanced standing makes you eligible to graduate, you must indicate this next to the “Tick here if you are in you last teaching period for this course.” part of Question 2 of the form. Commonwealth supported studentsStudents in a Commonwealth supported place at QUT may apply to the host institution to undertake the units on a Commonwealth supported basis. You must complete a new Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP Form for the Commonwealth supported units you are going to study and forward the form to the host institution. The form must be completed prior to the census date of the first teaching period. Tuition fee paying placesIf you are in a tuition fee paying place and you are studying cross institutionally:
