Students commencing from 2009

Commencing in 2009, the manner in which the approved yearly rate is calculated has changed. Fees are determined at a unit level and the aggregation of the cost of units undertaken will determine the yearly fee applicable to a course.

The rate determined for a unit will remain the same, no matter in which course the unit is studied. Different units may have different rates according to the discipline classification of the unit. Indicative annual course fees are available through Studyfinder.

Students who commenced prior to 2008

Students who commenced their course prior to 1 January 2008 are protected from annual fee increases provided they do not interrupt their studies.

Students who accepted and commenced a packaged program prior to 2008 who then commence their degree course in 2008 or later will be charged the rate fixed each year at the rate on commencement of their degree course. These students will be protected from annual fee increases provided they do not interrupt their studies.

Students who are on approved leave of absence for a teaching period in 2007 will return from leave at the fee rate that applied prior to their period of leave, and will be protected from annual increases provided they do not again interrupt their studies.

All other students who interrupt their studies for a teaching period in 2007 will return at the rate applicable for the year of their return to the course but will be protected from annual increases, provided they do not again interrupt their studies.
