Arrangement

Students who commence study in 2006 in a number of courses offered by the Faculty of Business will be 'protected', through the Student Cohort rule, from the University’s general fee increases. These students will be required to pay the tuition fee rates for each year as published below.

This arrangement will cease on 31 December 2008.

The courses are:

  • BS39 Graduate Certificate in Business
  • BS93 Master of Business
  • BS33 Master of Business Advanced
  • BS90 Master of Business (in a second study area A)

QUT will charge the following amounts for this student cohort irrespective of the general schedule of fees published for these courses by QUT for each of the following years:

  • 2006: $130 per credit point
  • 2007: $140 per credit point
  • 2008: $150 per credit point

Eligibility

Eligible student means a domestic, tuition fee-paying student who, as determined by HESA 19-101, commences one of the courses specified in the cohort list of courses on or after 1 January 2006 until 31 December 2006. You must incur a study load in the course in 2006 and continue in the same course in 2007 and 2008.

Note: Following the restructure of the Faculty’s courses at the end of 2006, eligible students in BS93, BS33 and BS90 who transfer to BS16 or BS17 in 2007 will continue to be protected by this Student Cohort Rule.

For the purpose of this arrangement, 'a commencing 2006 student is one who has commenced study in a course at QUT and who incurs their first study load in 2006'.

The fee rate as advertised above applies only while the student is enrolled in the same course of study, except as noted above.

This arrangement will terminate on 31 December 2008 and the tuition fee rates determined and published by the University at the time will apply for these courses from 1 January 2009.
