As a general rule, if you are correctly enrolled as a domestic student you will be provided with a If you are a correctly enrolled international student you will be provided with a SOA between 4–6 weeks prior to the start of each relevant teaching period. The due date for payment is generally the first day of the relevant teaching period. The SOA will be published in your QUT Virtual account. QUT does not mail out the SOA. You MUST pay your fees by the due date on your SOA. Late payment penalties will apply for tuition fees not paid by the due date. If you choose to defer your fees to FEE-HELP after late fees have been applied, you are still liable for the fee. Late fees cannot be deferred to FEE-HELP. If you vary your enrolment after you receive your SOA, and it results in a different amount due, you will receive a new one but the due date will not change. Sanctions or other consequences including suspension of your enrolment can apply if you do not pay your fees by the due date. If you ignore the suspension, QUT can impose further penalties including a late fee and/or discontinue your enrolment. Visit consequences of not paying for more information. Domestic students who were eligible for pre-2005 transitional arrangements and who are discontinued for non-payment of fees will lose their eligibility and will be readmitted under the Higher Education Support Act (HESA) 2003 guidelines and QUT’s readmission rules. Domestic students who were eligible for pre-2008 transitional arrangements and who are discontinued for non-payment of fees will not lose their eligibility for that status. When will I get a Statement of Account? If you are correctly enrolled at least three days prior to the date QUT publishes the SOA for all students, you will receive your Statement of Account in the week published below. If not, you will receive a SOA the following week. There will be weekly updates until the census date for the teaching period. The schedule below may not include dates for students in corporate programs, employer funded/reserved places and students in intensive modes. These students will nevertheless receive their SOA via QUT Virtual unless they are fully sponsored. Sanctions and penalties will apply to students who fail to pay by the relevant due date. If your sponsor pays for all your student fees, you will not receive an SOA. If your sponsor only pays for part of your student fees, you will receive an SOA with the sponsored portion displayed in a separate column. If the statement does not reflect your sponsorship, check your outstanding balance on QV. If the sponsored portion does not appear under the column marked 'Sponsor', please email sbs.enquiries@qut.edu.au If you do not receive a Statement of Account by the end of the scheduled week of release or after you start your course for international students, you should enquire at the Student Centre at your local campus or contact QUT Information Services on 07 3138 2000 as there may be a problem with your enrolment. See the steps you need to undertake to make a payment.
