International students have the rights to an appeal for QUT's intention to cancel their eCoE due to unsatisfactory course progress as identified above. Students will receive notice of intention to cancel enrolment and consequently, cancellation of eCoE. Students will be allowed 20 working days to access the QUT's internal complaints and appeals process as detailed in the letter of notice. Students who disagree with QUT's decision to cancel their e-CoE or refused an eCoE extension due to unsatisfactory course progress, as identified above, have the right lodge an appeal to the Manager of Admissions, within 20 days of notice. The appeal request is to be lodged with documentary evidence supporting the case and submitted to qut.intcompliance@qut.edu.au Students should continue to attend classes and participate in assessments items pending the outcome of the appeal. Upon consideration of the appeal, the following outcomes may be applied:
Appellants will be notified of the outcome of their appeal within 10–15 working days. Students who wish to lodge an appeal against exclusion for unsatisfactory academic progress in accordance with MOPP 6.7.8 must submit their appeal within the date specified in the letter advising of the exclusion. The appeals against exclusion for unsatisfactory academic progress are determined by QUT Appeals Committee.
