The following information sets out the policy and procedure for monitoring, recording and assessing course progress of international students* enrolled at QUT, in accordance with the requirements of the National Code 2007.

* QUT International College students are referred to QUTIC Intervention Strategies. Students in higher degree research programs are referred to the Research Students Centre for the relevant course progress policy and procedure.

University Rules and policies prescribes that satisfactory course progress is achieved where:

  • a student maintains a satisfactory level of academic performance, in accordance with Student Rule 38(2); and
  • a student meets the requirements for individual course rules (available on Course Summary Sheets).

For international students this also now includes the following requirements:

  • That students maintain an enrolment program that will allow them to complete their course within the specified timeframe of the eCoE (electronic Confirmation of Enrolment; and
  • That students maintain an enrolment program in which they attempt at least one unit that is not online or distance education each compulsory study period, and
  • That students maintain an enrolment program which do not breach the maximum 25% of total award being undertaken by online or distance learning units.
