Performance is reviewed at the end of each academic year. If your performance is unsatisfactory you are placed on probationary enrolment. If performance continues at an unsatisfactory level you may be excluded. Unsatisfactory academic performance is defined in the Student Rules and course requirements.

Award and non-award courses – you are expected to maintain a satisfactory level of academic performance in your studies at QUT.

Designated units – a single failure in a designated unit may result in exclusion.

Time limits – to ensure a satisfactory level of progression through your studies, there are time limits for completing a course.

Limits on grades of 3 – there is a limit to the number of grades of 3 you can receive in a course.
