The following tables convert prior studies into QUT entry ranks.

Senior Studies

• Interstate results
• Overall Positions (OPs)
• How to combine external senior results with Year 12 results for a rank
• International Baccalaureate - completed
• Non-standard Year 12 and comparable programs conversion table (eg ACE, home schooled etc)
• Certificate of Education (‘A' levels) and comparable qualifications

Tertiary Studies

AQF = Australian Qualification Framework

• Degree study - three-quarters of a year full-time (or equivalent)
• QUT degree (or higher) study - a quarter of a year of full-time (or equivalent)
• Postgraduate qualifications
  Note: graduate certificates and graduate diplomas, and all incomplete postgraduate qualifications – use the degree tables.
• Associate diploma and (non-AQF) associate degree studies - one year or more of full-time (or equivalent)
• AQF diploma studies ungraded - one year or more of full-time (or equivalent) incomplete
• AQF diploma studies graded - one year or more of full-time (or equivalent) incomplete
• AQF advanced diploma and associate degree studies ungraded - one year or more of full-time (or equivalent) incomplete
• AQF advanced diploma and associate degree studies graded - one year or more of full-time (or equivalent) incomplete

Vocational, Certificate and Bridging Studies

• Completion of three subjects in the Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation (Including Language and Learning Skills)
• Completion of four subjects in the Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation (Including Language and Learning Skills)
• Other bridging qualifications
• Vocational training qualifications
• Dance, drama and music qualifications
