Ordering your preferences |

The QTAC application allows students six course preferences. In order to maximise your chances of being made an offer for a place, we recommend that you use all six preferences. First and second preferences: Courses that you really want to study, even though your chances of being offered a place may not be good. Third and fourth preferences: Courses that you should realistically gain entry to, provide another way to the career you want, are a second career choice or can be used to upgrade. Fifth and six preferences: Courses that you are prepared to do if you miss out on all your choices, are easier to get into, and can be used to upgrade. You need to ensure you:
Changing preferencesOnce the application is lodged students are able to change the order of their course preferences or substitute new courses up until the published closing dates for each offer round. Students who applied online are entitled to three free changes of preference. For fees relating to other applicants, refer to the QTAC web site. QUT’s Real Decisions Evening in December is held after students have received their Year 12 results but before the QTAC closing date for changing preferences, and is designed to give students the opportunity to talk to faculty and admission staff from the University about courses, upgrading and making the most of their preferences. |
