Why QUT?

[Print-friendly version]

Before you call QUT

  • Use QTAC's web Course Status Service to find out why you did not receive an offer in your preferred courses. This service is available from 5 June (major mid-year offer round) and 19 June (mid-year top-up offer round) and will provide information about:
    • your QUT admission Rank and course cut-offs for course preferences above your offered course, or for all preferences if no offer was made
    • why you were not made an offer in your preferred courses.
  • To access the QTAC Course Status Service you will need your QTAC Application Number and your PIN (initially set to the day and month of your date of birth) then visit QTAC's Applicant Online Services at www.qtac.edu.au

Further queries

If you do not understand or do not agree with the reason that you have not been made an offer, please do not hesitate to telephone QTAC on 07 3858 1222 during business hours.

Future applications

QUT will be accepting and considering late applications and preference changes lodged with QTAC, for all mid-year courses, up until Monday, 7 July 2008. Applicants who can meet the early June cut-off are encouraged to register their preference as this presents a good opportunity to secure a place at QUT.

The OP Guarantee will apply after the late June offer round. Visit Studyfinder to check if your course is covered by the OP Guarantee. Under the guarantee, offers are made to eligible applicants with an OP 1-5 or a QUT admission rank of 92 or better.

Applications for the Graduate Diploma in Education courses have been extended. QUT will be accepting and considering new applications and preference changes lodged with QTAC up until Monday, 7 July 2008.
