Courses

The Faculty of Law is offering to accommodate BA and BSocSci students directly into the Bachelor of Justice and Bachelor of Laws – and associated double degrees – with credit for units completed to be negotiated.

Credit arrangements

School of Justice

The School of Justice is proposing that, generally, students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Humanities or Bachelor of Social Science degree who have completed up to 10 units (120 credit points) of non-justice electives could transfer to the Bachelor of Justice with credit. However, each student's case would need to be examined on an individual basis.

Listed below, as an example, are five out of the ten ‘HHB' units that the School of Justice would be able to give credit for, and the ‘JSB' units that they equate with.

HHB265 The Just Society JSB175 Social Ethics & the Justice System
HHB234 Sociological Theory Unspecified credit

School of Law

The School of Law is proposing that, generally, students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Humanities or Bachelor of Social Science degrees who wish to transfer to the Bachelor of Laws will be granted up to 8 units (96 credit points) of non-law electives. However, each student's case would need to be examined on an individual basis. Please note students transferring to a double degree would only receive 4 units (48 credit points).

Students would then still need to complete the remaining three years of the LLB (288cps).
