Courses

Humanities units may be used for advanced standing in the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health; Health Services Management)
  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology)

Transfer into other courses, eg. nursing, may be possible but, due to professional accreditation requirements, advanced standing on the basis of studies in the BA or BSocSci courses will be limited.

Credit arrangements

The Faculty of Health would be prepared to grant credit for electives within the Bachelor of Health Science (Health Services Management; Public Health) or the Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) courses.*

The Faculty is also happy to work individually with students to determine if more credit can be given on a case-by-case basis.

* According to the individual course rules.

Exempted courses

High OP courses would be 'exempt' from advanced standing:

  • BAppSc (Optometry)
  • BHealthSc(Nutrition and Dietetics)
  • BHlthSc (Podiatry)
  • BHlthSc (Podiatry/BAppSc (HMS)
  • BHlthSc (Nutrition & Dietetics)/BAppSc (HMS)

Credit arrangements for the new Bachelor of Social Work (HH05)

Students moving to the new HH05 degree will need to conform to the policies of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

See further information about credit arrangements for HH05.
