Courses

The Faculty of Education will follow normal practice, which is to give advanced standing wherever it is appropriate. The Bachelor of Arts is sometimes used as a feeder course for the Bachelor of Education. Students are encouraged to seek enrolment advice from the Faculty at the start of their studies so that they maximise their advanced standing opportunities. If the unit in the Bachelor of Arts is also in the Education course advanced standing will be granted. Electives are assessed on an individual basis.

Credit arrangements

In most cases the ED91 Bachelor of Education (Primary) and ED92 Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) students get a minimum of four units of advanced standing. ED90 Bachelor of Education (Secondary) students may can get up to seven units of advanced standing at the end of year one when they transfer (depending on selected teaching areas).
