Why QUT?

[Print-friendly version]

1. Continue in and complete your current course of study including single or double degrees

  • You can increase the number of electives drawn from other QUT courses (that is, from 8 to 12).
  • There will be minimal change in 2008.
  • In subsequent years, as unit availability reduces, students may wish to consider the further option of including elective units at another university (cross-institutional unit enrolments).

2. Transfer from a single to a double degree with Arts

  • Reduce BA component from 3 years to 2 years.

3. Transfer to a different degree in another faculty

Special arrangements include:

  • Apply directly to QUT through internal transfer process, not through QTAC.
  • Credit transfers negotiated.

Note: course transfers subject to meeting admission requirements of course of application.

Language studies as part of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science

Implications of changes

  • Students may continue and complete their current course.
  • French, German, Indonesian, Japanese and Mandarin courses will continue to be conducted at Gardens Point campus.
  • For administrative purposes Languages will be located in another QUT faculty (likely to be the Faculty of Business).

Options

  • As for Arts and Social Science degrees. See above.
