Why QUT?

[Print-friendly version]

If you come from a low income background and would like to undertake one of QUT's undergraduate courses, you may be eligible for assistance through the University's special entry program, Q-Step.

Q-Step eligible applicants may receive admission bonuses of up to three (3) OP bands or six (6) ranks for entry to most undergraduate degree courses at QUT.

Commencing students, who are accepted through the Q-Step Program and who enrol at QUT in 2010 for the first time, are guaranteed a minimum $1000 QUT Equity Bursary.

For any enquiries regarding Q-Step please phone (07) 3138 9699 or (07) 3138 8766.

Note: The deadline for QUT Q-Step Applications for 2010 is Friday 31 October 2009.

Tommy Pham

It was not easy getting into uni and I had to work hard to get a good OP. Because I'm from a low income family, the Q-Step program helped me gain admission into my course through an admission bonus on my OP, but it still comes down to me putting in the work.
